Originally from the Midwest, my family relocated to Colorado for my husband’s job in 2015. I have been married since 2002 to my college sweetheart and together we have 4 children. We are very much an active outdoor family and love to take full advantage of everything Colorado has to offer. We enjoy hiking, skiing, and mountain biking as well as the amazing views and weather.
I am a former elementary school teacher and currently work as a substitute in a local elementary school. My passion is cooking and food photography so blogging is a natural fit for me. I would eventually like to turn food photography into a full time career so I keep practicing and developing my skills so that I can manifest this dream career.
My Mom is the one who inspires my love for cooking. As a child, I watched her effortlessly create delicious meals and she was always combing through cookbooks looking for new things to try. She was also a successful caterer for several years. She taught me how to throw a party that people will remember. Her wisdom shines through in every hosted event and delicious recipe. Thanks, Mom!!
